On March 9th, 2020, I woke up to seeing Arenal Volcano, here in Costa Rica, being visited by the moon. I can’t remember ever seeing the moon so large and close to the volcano in the 6+ years I have lived in this house (we have a direct view of the volcano from our patio). So I grabbed my camera and these are two of the best shots I could get, although it was better looking in person. In the 2nd photo, you can see the moon dropping behind the volcano. For reference, we are about 22 miles from the volcano, if you measured in a straight line.
